Non Surgical Liposuction Choices

Today there are many different choices of liposuction procedures which are available from cosmetic surgeons. With liposuction alone there are several very different types of treatments which are grouped under the general term of "low impact cosmetic procedures."

Low impact liposuction, some times also referred to as "non surgical lipo," is a very general term for a broad range of cosmetic procedures that can be used in order to help patients remove unwanted fat cells from problematic areas. Low impact liposuction does not represent just one procedure, either. There are many different types of "non surgical" operations that fall under this umbrella term.

Modern technology has helped make liposuction operations less invasive and more pain free than ever. In fact, many of these types of plastic surgery don't even require the patient to be knocked out with anesthesia. A local anesthetic is usually enough to do the job.

Patients have more freedom than ever, as newer liposuction procedures often only need local anesthesia, allowing consumers to be awake yet pain free during the process. Twenty years ago you couldn't have liposuction and then just walk out of the office, but that's exactly what individuals can do now.

Two of the most popular laser based liposuction operations are smart liposuction and tumescent liposuction. These two procedures are by far and away the most popular and among the most requested examples of using a laser in order to melt fat cells away and help to sculpt the body.

Aside from the laser based cosmetic sculpting, there are also the injection based procedures. Sometimes this involves a "cocktail" of enzymes, amino acids, drugs, and whatever else that works in combination to help break up the fat cells, and cause the body to flush them out naturally.

Another way is to use ultrasonic liposuction by injecting a gel into the fat cells and then use ultrasound, which causes the gel to burst, breaking up the fat cells and causing them to be flushed out of the body naturally, as well.

Whatever type is used, one thing that is for sure is that the old way of doing liposuction is dying and will soon be dead. Why go for a dangerous full blown surgery when now there are so many far less painful, far less invasive, options available? Will one end up trumping all the others? Only time will tell.
