Why Should Women Use Skin Care Treatments?

Cosmetic scientists are aware that as we age our skin loses 5 to 6% of it's thickness every decade so they have designed treatments to help replenish or restore that loss. Additionally, skin also experiences a decrease of it's ability to change a healthy diet into vibrant healthy looking skin. As a result, specifically designed treatments can offer a temporary remedy for some of these concerns when they are applied directly to clean skin.
When dry skin gets older and combines the loss of density with the loss of moisture, the skin will wrinkle. Older oily skin retains the moisture but when it isn't thick enough to hold the moisture, the skin will sag.
What do they do?
For older women, treatments help to (among other things) temporarily defend against aging by adding strength and firmness to the skins texture. Here I can only give you an overview of the value of treatments because they are aimed at such a diverse variety of issues and there are so many with more being developed almost daily. Some of the other issues addressed by treatments are softening the look of fine lines and wrinkles and for younger women, they temporarily minimizing the size of pores, even the texture or tone or color of the skin.
Today's list of skin care additives consist of over 2,000 different items. A few of the most popular are collagen and elastin, alpha hydrox, vitamins and minerals as well as zinc oxide. Each item address a different concern, which is why there are usually so many ingredients on the average treatment container.
How do I use Treatments?
The type and specific use of the treatment determines the method of application. Designed to work in different consistencies, treatments are in liquids, lotions, oils, creams, gels and serums. But, for the most part, treatments are smoothed, tapped or massaged into the face and neck areas using the finger tips.
Pore minimizers and line filler/erasers are also considered treatments. Alum is the ingredient that temporarily tightens pores and silicone is the ingredient that makes up the line filler and although temporary, they have been used in serums and moisturizers for years but now they are also added to concealors and foundations.
Knowing what is needed as well as what's available will give a woman a jump on satisfying her skin care needs, provided she knows her skin type. Using her products appropriately guarantees the best results if she completes the order of use for her skin care items. Thoroughly remove any makeup and after cleansing and rinsing, blot to absorb drips.
Use your twice weekly exfoliation at this point. If you're not exfoliating that day begin with your toner, then eye cream or gel, then your treatment. Moisturizing should always come last as it seals moisture onto your skin. Any day that you don't exfoliate, this entire routine should only take about 3 minutes, on the days when you do exfoliate it will take you about 4 minutes.
