Choose to Be Rich NOW! Timeless Advice for Though Economic Times

Not many people know that name, but before Napoleon Hill, before Robert Kiyosaki, there was Wallace D. Wattles (1860 -1911) who wrote several powerful books, including "The Science of Getting Rich," over one hundred years ago.

We know little about his life. He was very poor most of his life and many times attempted - unsuccessfully - to change that situation for the better for himself and his family. Finally, his work paid off and he became rich. He became a living example of the concepts he wrote about.

When you read his books, you will understand that there are laws regarding money and wealth that are universal and that if we just work with those laws and go with the tide instead of swimming against it (usually unintentionally), the results we desire will begin to come to us.

"The Science of Getting Rich" is one of the greatest books ever written on creating personal prosperity (or anything else you want) in your life. It will change your mind about the concept of money and abundance. It completely dispells the myth that money is evil or scarce. Money is no more evil than gravity, electricity or magnetism. It is simply a tool. There is NO lack of resources, the supply of wealth is NOT limited.

The basic premise of this book is that becoming wealthy is a science, that once understood, and replicated will create wealth in everyone's life. Create ideas, express gratitude, take action (in that order) and abundance will flow.

If you are looking for detailed instructions of what to do in order to get money and achieve success, you will not find them there. The book doesn't give any "how-to" advice in the sense of what career to pursue, how much to save from each paycheck, or what investments to pick. The reader has to take on faith that he or she will, through thought, gratitute and action, get rich. A lot of people will find that hard to believe, but if you trust this wisdom, your life will pick up in a wonderful way, as it did for thousands of others.

Some people insist that no matter what they do, they just cannot succeed. They know all the reasons why things won't work. It's the economy. It's my boss. It's my parets. Education costs too much. Employers don't pay enough. Opportunities are snatched by competition.

Life really is a self-fulfilling prophecy. The biggest impediment to our success seems to be in our mind. It's hard to get rich when everyone around you is complaining about how unfair life is.

Some people may object to this book because all it talks about is getting rich and really nothing else. If money isn't important, why do we all work so hard every day and look forward to promotions and raises? There is a sense of denial and shame that go with money, and this book will remind you that not only is getting rich a right, it is natural and it doesn't have to harm anyone or anything.

Wattles teaches us that we can "choose" to be rich, but just "choosing" is not enough. If that is all you do, you are only a dreamer, and will have little or no power for accomplishment.

The following are some powerful quotes from Wallace D. Wattles writings:

"You are to become a creator, not a competitor. You are going to get what you want, but in such a way that when you get it every other person whom you affect will have more than he has now."

"By thought, the thing you want is brought to you. By action, you receive it. Whatever your action is to be, it is evident that you must act NOW."

"The grateful mind is constantly fixed upon the best. Therefore it tends to become the best. It takes the form or character of the best, and will receive the best."

"There is no labor from which most people shrink as they do from that of sustained and consecutive thought; it is the hardest work in the world."

Give it a try and share it with others. After all, what do you have to lose?
